Do Japanese People Speak Spanish?

no, at least our hotel concierge doesn’t, but conner does when nervous!

Lots of flying today, or yesterday? We have been at the airport so long we’re not sure what day or time it is. First, we flew from LAX to Seattle, then hoped on our 11 hour flight to Tokyo!

Conner was getting cozy after an 1.5 hours of flight time!

I binge-watched two Sophia Coppola movies and still had 8 hours of flight left so Conner and I started a new season of Survivor. Mixed in with lots of intermittent sleeping and chatting.

We shared the luxury of airplane ginger pork and rice. Although it sounded potentially suspect, it was not horrible. Mer had suggested I eat my crackers because she swore they were good. I almost died they were so dry. I also watched everything everywhere all at once and it was an easy 4.8/5 Before we knew it, we arrived!

and so we were off! after a slight panic regarding if the taxi took credit cards we mustered the courage to call one over. Then we were on our way. Through endless underground tunnels which had to have been miles long.

Tokyo is so much greener than we had expected! It is so beautiful and clean, even the air smells different. During check-in instead of replying “yes” in Japanese (hai) or English, Conner decided to take a journey to visit our South American friends and responded “si” and almost let a señor slip out. After we checked into our hotel, we took much-needed showers and headed out to the most life-changing 7/11 ever. We are so excited to explore more tomorrow after hopefully many many hours of sleep. Enjoy some photos of Conner in our cool PJs we got from the hotel, a bit of our room, and our walk to 7/11!
